The Fieldhouse Sportscenter is proud to announce that we have added Yvette Pearce to our team for Volleyball Training.
Yvette has always enjoyed sports growing up and was a three-sport athlete in high school, amassing All-State honors in both basketball and volleyball three of the four years played. She led her high school volleyball team to four consecutive state titles. Volleyball was always her favorite sport as she earned a selection on the USA Today high school All-American Team for the state of Missouri. She went on to play volleyball at The University of Missouri from 1988 - 1992, taking a medical red-shirt for one year. Some of the top honors she accumulated during her career include: 1990 Olympic Festival Team, 1992 Female Athlete of the Year at Mizzou, 1992 All-American Team, 1992 first team All-Conference, 1992 Strength and Conditioning All-American and MVP in all tournaments her senior year. She also remains a Mizzou top five record-holder in total kills, kills per set, attack attempts, services aces, points per game and points per set. Yvette is a member of the Heart of America Region, and has been coaching young players for over seven years and is currently coaching locally with Static Volleyball. She has been married for 27 years to her husband Matt Pearce and has three children, Logan, Emma and Audrey. One of my favorite quotes is by Toby Morris: "There is no such thing as a 'self-made man". We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who as ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the makeup of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success"
